We offer education in health and sports to all University members, including students, faculty and staff members. Through lectures and practicum of the Basic General Education Course “Health and Sports Science”, we enhance the “knowledge”, “human skills”, and “activeness” required of “courageous intellectuals.”
We conduct research related to the maintenance and improvement of mental and physical health, as well as physical education and sports science. We also engage in fostering researchers in health and sports sciences while collaborating with graduate education in the Graduate School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
We provide the physical and mental health care for all University members by providing medical checkups and consultations to students, faculty and staff members. In addition, through exercise programs for faculty and staff members and making on-campus sports facilities available to University members, we strive to improve their exercise habits and support the maintenance and improvement of health.
